Paolo Tasca is a financial economist specializing in P2P Financial Systems andSystemic Risk.

His research activity complements together methodologies from econometric and portfolio theory with methods from statistical physics and complex network theory. His research appears in top international journals of Nature publishing group and top peer-review finance journals.

He has a professional accountancy background and served for many years as CFO and Member of the Board of Directors for different European and US SME in various sectors including mechanical engineering industry and banking software industry. He also has more than 10 years stock and derivative trading hands-on experience for major trading companies, financial advisory firms and hedge funds worldwide. He is also the co-founder of the first Swiss-based  digital finance marketplace to be fully compliant with Swiss and U.S. AML acts and FACTA.

Paolo Tasca holds an M.A in Politics and Economics (Summa cum laude) from the University of Padua (Italy) and a M.Sc. in Economics and Finance from ICEF, Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. He did his PhD studies in Business between the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and ETH, Zürich.
